‘Far Horizons,’ works in pastels by Janette Humble

1 – 26 May

Janette Humble is our feature artist for May. Her solo exhibition, ‘Far Horizons’  features Australian landscapes in her favourite medium, pastels, painted with bold colour and mark making to depict light and shade. Her exhibition includes sunsets and sunrises over the Australian bush; William Creek and Lake Eyre.

The inspiration behind the title, ‘Far Horizons,’ is found in the nature of the Australian bush land. In each piece the depth of colour and simplicity of line reflects the vast, open spaces and aims to reinforce the raw beauty and sense of isolation and timelessness of the Australian bush land.
